PLAY.FIT.FUN is VERY excited to bring our Kids Action Class to HCCS. Class begins September 10th, or as soon as we have at least 10-kids enrolled and runs all school year.
Our Kids Action Classes take place at 20 other area schools and KIDS LOVE IT! Kid’s come to class and Play Actively!  Think P.E. mixed with Field Day…crashing into team building: Find out more about our Kids Action Mission by watching our short video.

How will kids play during their time with us on Mondays?  Actively and Socially!  Kids K-7th grade will jump into action quickly each week.  They will compete, run, jump, chase, throw, catch and have a blast.  Younger kids will work hard to keep pace with older kids…and the older kids will have great leadership opportunities with the younger kids!!  Our mixed age kids action class is a great way for kids to move their bodies, try new things, challenge themselves, and build healthy life habits…all while have a blast!  Check us out at:

This multi-sport program was developed to give children a positive first step into athletics. The essentials of baseball, basketball and soccer are taught in a safe, structured environment with lots of encouragement and a big focus on fun. Our Mini-Hawk games and activities were designed to allow campers to explore balance, movement, hand/eye coordination, and skill development at their own pace. Skyhawks staff are trained to handle the specific needs of young athletes.

Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. It’s intended for anyone making interactive projects. Students will put together basic single component electrical circuits, learn about analog and digital, input and output, basic programming concepts, practice very basic Serial communication, and briefly cover basic virtual prototyping. It is truly designed with the beginner in mind and serves as a great introduction to the world of physical computing

Come dance with renowned Haiyan International Dance Academy (HIDA.) HIDA is offering an exciting, in-school dance class designed to introduce kids to the world of dance:  classical ballet, stretching, Jazz, Hiphop, and contemporary. HIDA’s eminent dance instructors are all current or past professional dancers and are committed to provide high quality dance training to students at all levels. HIDA’s curriculum emphasizes development of strong technique, appreciation for various dance styles, and discovery of the joy of movement and expression.

In these fun and active classes hosted by Yoga Playgrounds kids will stretch and energize their bodies and minds through individual and group poses, mindfulness games and creative relaxation techniques. Packed with playfulness, positivity and fun, these classes give kids the tools they need to manage their behaviors to lead happier, healthier and more peaceful lives.

Our Multi-Sport camp is designed to introduce young athletes to a variety of different sports in one setting. For this program we combine 2-3 sports into one fun-filled week. Athletes will learn the rules and essentials of each sport through skill-based games and scrimmages. By the end of the week, your child will walk away with knowledge of (2 or 3) new sports along with vital life lessons such as respect, teamwork, and self-discipline.

Get them started early! The Little Coders class provides young students with the basics of computational thinking skills, such as loops and conditionals, through a fun blend of hands-on activities. The curriculum is built specifically for this age group, with a mix of activities from coding puzzles and board games to easy-to-use, drag-and-drop programming tools. Projects are updated each session, so returning students will have new challenges to work through and advance their knowledge.

Enter the world of movie and game animations! Students will learn the core skills of creating simple animated movies, creating 2D and 3D characters and animating those. Take your learning beyond stop-motion animation with real animation design tools. You will get to create real computer graphics and build animations like the pros!

This is a fun course designed for learners 1st to 7th grade with little or no background In Spanish to gain a basic knowledge of reading writing and conversation through fun activities, music, and games! This class is taught by a native Spanish Speaker.

Wu Shu means “martial arts” in Chinese, and has its origins in China for thousands of years.  Wu Shu is the current national sport in China and the many styles of traditional Wushu have been standardized into a unified curriculum within the last century.  Jet Li, Jackie Chan & Donnie Yen are some of the most high profile Wushu practitioners seen in Hollywood.  HCCS Wushu classes will emphasize the learning of martial arts movement without contact or fighting and focus on improving strength, coordination, focus & confidence in each student.

Wushu classes will cover:
1) Flexibility & Stretching Training
2) Wushu Basics
3) Introductory Wushu Forms
4) Exercise & Conditioning
5) Martial Arts Ethics

Classes will be overseen by Sifu Peter Dang, former US Wushu Team member from 2003-2013 and head instructor at the Summit Wushu Academy.  A minimum of eight students are required to sign-up for there to be a class.

Important Sign-Up Information:  please email by August 31st, 2018 with the student’s name attending Wushu class, so that we can determine if there will be enough students to start on September 7th, 2018. If you receive an email confirmation that there will be a Wushu after-school program, THEN bring $187.00 check or cash on September 7th, or PayPal

The LEGO® Education WeDo Robotics is an easy-to-use concept that introduces young students to robotics. Students will be able to build LEGO models featuring working motors and sensors; program their models; and explore a series of cross-curricular, theme-based activities while developing their skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics as well as language, literacy, and social studies. Basic contains activities that are divided into four themes – Amazing Mechanisms, Wild Animals, Play Soccer, and Adventure Stories.  Advanced robotics includes space, city and safari. No experience is required. Experienced students will be more be creating advance models.
