25 Students Take Center Stage in Talent Showcase

Forte Music School students joined Middle Schoolers at Hope that put student talent center stage!

Creativity, Bravery & Joy

The Middle School program at Hope Chinese Charter School has steadily grown in recent years, and so has the diversity of talent among our students. One teacher, Ms Emily Ingalls, wanted to put on a talent showcase in order to give our students a chance to be brave and share their gifts with the community.

Ms Ingalls reached out to a long time friend, Andy McElhatton, who is the Director at Forte Music School, and has a lot of experience planning recitals. As a result of their collaboration, 25 students from both schools brought a variety of creative talents to the stage.

To participate in the show, Middle School students had to audition with a panel of staff and commit to practicing their performances. In the end, the community was treated to a wonderful mix of skills from skateboarding and a comedy routine, singing, dancing and a variety of musical instruments

The talent show was also held in conjunction with the school’s first bake sale, with both events helping to funds for Hope Chinese Charter School.
