From hitting the books to hitting the links!
We love seeing our Hope students shine beyond the classroom! Today, we’re celebrating 7th grader Estee Villatoro and 3rd grader Emilio Villatoro for their accomplishments as young athletes on the golf course.
Both Estee and Emilio have been working hard on their golf game and competing in tournaments throughout the Portland area. In early September, their hard work paid off in a big way when both siblings took first place in their respective divisions at the U.S. Kids Golf Local Tour Fall Season Opener in Portland!
Estee shot an 18-hole score of 77 while Emilio fired a 45 for 9-holes.
For Estee, golf has become a passion that combines competition, focus and time spent outdoors. Emilio has quickly developed a love for the game as well, competing alongside his junior golf crew and continuing to challenge himself on the course.
Whether they’re practicing for an event or a friendly round, these two make quite the golf team!
Fun fact: They’re not just siblings—they’re also each other’s biggest supporters on the course!
We are so proud of you, Estee and Emilio! Keep working hard, keep competing and keep having fun!
