No School Day Camps

Morning

    Date: April 13th, 2018

    Ages: 6 – 12 years old

    Beginners
    Level One: Basics Students will learn the basic controls of the game such as how to move, mine, build, craft, and defend. Depending on the session students will learn how to build basic structures such as houses or castles. Students will also be able to join with other classmates in a fun and safe environment where they can learn to work together to accomplish a task.
    Level Two: Redstone Students will learn how to further their crafting expertise and also how to farm in minecraft. Also students in this session will also learn how to build basic circuits using the included redstone Mechanics of minecraft. Students will also be able to join with other classmates in a fun and safe environment where they can learn to work together to accomplish a task.

    Advance
    Level Three: NPC Creation Students will learn how to interact with and even build their own custom NPC (Non-player characters. Students in this session will program and create a NPC using an ingame feature to make a character of their design. Students will also be able to join with other classmates in a fun and safe environment where they can learn to work together to accomplish a task.
    Level Four: Minecraft Mod Design: Students will learn how to build and interact with a mod of their creation. They will program and create textures for their mod and can keep the mod for later to show their friends! Students will also be able to join with other classmates in a fun and safe environment where they can learn to work together to accomplish a task.

Afternoon

    Time: 12:00pm – 5:30pm (bring your own lunch & snacks)
    Fee: $40
    Grades: PreK – 5th Grade

    Be a Chinese Foodie and more! Lean Chinese Food Culture and Lingo. Dive into Chinese food culture and stimulate taste buds. Campers will learn to read menu, order food, pay bills, and run a Chinese restaurant. It also promotes entrepreneurship by operating food stations, managing inventory, investigating competition, and planning marketing strategies under simulated games and play.

    Watch Legos come to life on this fun filled class of Robotics. Students will use the latest technology from LEGO® to turn LEGO® bricks, gears, and motors into vibrant, interactive creations. They get to build different model featuring different theme from sports (Goalie, kicker and cheerer) city models like airplane, crane and to animal safari models like crocodile, monkey. They can choose to explore CityTheme like airplane, firetruck and the galaxy with our Starwars Theme. It is learning and fun all in one!!!

    Who doesn’t love shopping and good deals?! This camp offers a comprehensive lesson covering identifying merchandise, reading price tags, learning different bargain strategies, recognizing Chinese currency and ways of paying bills in Chinese. Through games and fun activities, campers learn and apply these essential knowledge and skills to a classroom store where they weight, count, sort, price items, and closing sales!

    Peek into today’s science fiction world; foster passion for science and literature in Chinese!

    Campers are going to get the charm of the fantastic world in Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, A Journey to the Center of the Earth, and If You Decide to Go to the Moon. Campers will enjoy exploring the beauty of science and literature by immersion reading, new virtual reality games, various artworks, and using their imagination to create a blueprint for the fantastic life.
