What a night!

This year’s Xi Wang Gala & Auction had a little bit of everything: a string quartet, flying boards, dancing students, board member awards and a special appearance by KOIN 6 news anchor Elizabeth Dinh.

Most importantly, however, our annual fundraiser brought in $120,000 to support our K-8 Chinese language immersion school! The financial impact this has on Hope’s annual operating budget is huge. However, the gala is also a celebration of all that our community has achieved and an opportunity to inspire one another to contribute toward Hope’s future.

Giving to Grow

Hope is facing a huge growth challenge in the coming years. As described in the video played for guests, Hope Chinese Charter School has already outgrown our school facilities. The need to secure a larger, long-term school building is pressing. We are facing a record high enrollment in the next school year and out waitlist continues to accumulate more than 200 potential families, even with the other Mandarin immersion school options in Beaverton.

A Long Way To Go

Before Hope can focus on the funding needed for a future school building, it is vital that the school cover this year’s operating expenses. After the Xi Wang Gala & Auction closed this year, Hope will still need to raise another $150,000 to reach our fundraising goal for the 2024-2025 school year. Leading in this effort is Development Director, Jade Henness. If you’re in a position so make a gift, please contact Ms. Henness at development (at) hopeccs (dot) org
