STEP 1: Set Up Your Student’s Pledge Page
You will receive an email from [email protected] with a private link to your student’s JOG-A-THON pledge page. Set up is simple. You can choose to add an image if you want.
STEP 2: Share Your Student’s Pledge Page
Which relatives or family friends will want to support your student’s school? Share the link to your student’s pledge page or have your student tell them about their Jog-A-Thon goals in person! REMEMBER: Donations can be made via check or cash directly to HCCS. See HOW TO DONATE below for more info.
STEP 3: Students will walk, jog and run on May 29th & 30th.
Come join us to cheer for the students as they complete laps during their PE class times. You can also volunteer to help us count laps.
STEP 4: Collect Pledges!
After the final lap count is in, help your student collect any per-lap pledges they received and drop off all donations to the school by Monday, June 2nd.
HOW TO DONATE
Cash or checks for a flat donation amount can be given directly to the front desk. Please include a note with the student’s name and indicate that the donation is for the Read-A-Thon.
Reminder: If your employer matches donations, you can submit your donation receipt for the Jog-A-Thon!
To donate Per Lap, and to make an online donation, we are using the donation platform, 99pledges. We use this platform because it is free for us and simple for you to use, while still enabling donors to pledge per lap for the Jog-A-Thon.
! Important Note On 99Pledges !
- Donate Per Lap: You can enter any amount. For example, to donate 50 cents per lap, enter “.50” Per Lap.
- Tipping is Optional: In the separate grey area below the donation amount, 99pledges asks if you would like to give them a tip. To opt out, simply select “Other” and then enter “0” in the dollar amount. Please share this information with your friends and family.Remember, 99pledges.com does not charge HCCS a fee to use their platform. Instead, they ask for donations to help them keep their platform running.
HOW TO CELEBRATE!
JOIN US FOR THE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL ON JUNE 6TH
If we raise $20K, we will rent a dunk tank for the International Festival for a Staff Splash. Four of our staff have agreed to get into the tank. For $5, you’ll get 3 balls to throw at the target and hopefully, dunk a teacher or two!
WIN FREE DUNK TANK SHOTS:
- The student who completes the most laps in their grade level will get a free shot at dunking a teacher.
- Also, the person who raises the most money in these group categories will win 1 GUARANTEED DUNK:
- Grades K-2
- Grades 3-5
- Grades 6-8
- Staff
1 CLASS GETS A FLOAT PARTY
We will also award an Ice Cream Float Party to the class that works together to get the higher number of people to donate. So if every student in a class of 26 students gets 10 people to donate, that equals 260 people! That would be a very high number and would probably win.
