Jason is coming upon his 4th year at HCCS! Jason is one of three amazing Physical Education & Health Teachers we are lucky to have at Hope.
Jason has spent his career working with a wide variety of students and coaching a multitude of sports. He was the Athletic Director at a school in Virginia for at-risk youth. While working with these students who had always been cast aside, he realized the impact that a teacher/mentor can have on someone’s life and has been teaching and coaching students ever since. Before coming to HOPE, Jason also developed/managed/coached sporting programs for people with disabilities. This included wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis, power soccer, adaptive weight training, and adaptive rock climbing.
Jason enjoy coaching basketball and has coached teams from the 3rd grade level all the way up to High School and Adult teams. He loves to hike and camp during the summer. He also loves to cook and try different recipes and STILL loves to play video games!
“If anyone wants this work in Madden, just email me for my PSN name haha.”
A Message from Jason
I am most proud of my work with the at-risk students I have worked with in the past. Knowing that you made a life-long difference, and in some cases was the first person to care about them, is a very special thing. Seeing that side of things is why I believe that it is so important to make each and every student here at HOPE feel uniquely special in some way. That is what I believe my role here at Hope. To make every student feel special and help build their confidence. Thank you so much for accepting me into the HOPE family and trusting me to teach and mentor your children.
