OAR 581-022-2223 requires school districts and charter schools to develop a Healthy & Safe Schools Plan. Hope Chinese Charter School takes these environmental issues seriously. The main areas covered by the Healthy & Safe Schools Plan include radon, lead in drinking water, lead paint, asbestos, and integrated pest management.

Building Seismic Information
The statewide needs assessment consists of rapid visual screenings (RVS) of these buildings in accordance with FEMA-154, 2002 Edition, or an equivalent standard adopted by DOGAMI; information gathering to supplement RVS; and ranking of RVS results into risk categories.
